How Siglo 21 transformed the management of its academic offer
Universidad Siglo 21 needed to simplify a complex process: defining, managing, and updating its academic offer across more than 300 centers and multiple modalities. With hundreds of possible combinations between programs, shifts, modalities, and prices, it was time to modernize management.
From spreadsheets to automation: the beginning of change
Before, the configuration of programs and campuses was carried out through spreadsheets and manual workflows. This caused delays, duplications, and errors. The goal was clear: to centralize everything in a single, intuitive, and reliable platform.
The solution: an application that organizes what is taught
Bitlogic developed an Academic Offer Backoffice application that allows defining what is offered, where, and how.
From there, teams can:
- Configure programs, modalities, and shifts by campus.
- Associate packages or promotions.
- Assign prices by academic period.
- Automatically synchronize with other systems.
Built with Java (backend) and React (frontend), the application combines technical flexibility with a clear and visual user experience.
A central piece of Siglo 21’s digital ecosystem
The tool does not work in isolation: it integrates with the university’s most important systems, feeding processes such as:
- Admissions and e-commerce, to display current options and enable online enrollments.
- Payments portal, where configured prices and packages are reflected.
- Student portal, which accesses updated academic information in real time.
- Pricing platform, which directly consumes the price reports generated from Academic Offer, so they can be loaded into each product.
Every decision made in the Backoffice directly impacts the experience of students, advisors, and internal teams.
Results: agile management and adaptable to change
Since its launch, the application has remained stable and continues to evolve with the business. Its structure made it possible to easily incorporate new modalities, such as distributed on-site learning.
